We are expanding the company globally and are seeking for a Field Technician to come on board in Detroit and collaborate with a talented team for on-site deployments of our robotics solutions at customer sites.

This job requires a unique combination of technical skills, end-user training ability, customer relationship management, and effective internal and external communication. You will travel extensively (75%) with all expenses paid.

Role Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Field Technician or similar role
  • A desire to be a hands-on problem solver who is passionate about getting the job done
  • Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of hardware, software, and networking principles
  • Excel in a customer environment, ability to represent and evangelize in customer interactions, and provide a high-quality service to clients
  • Are self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and in customer settings
  • Are able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
  • Knowledge of and interest in diverse technical topics, including software, hardware, and robotics
  • Valid driver's license and a car that can be used to travel to client sites as required
  • High school diploma or equivalent

What you will be doing at

  • Travel to client locations to deploy robotic solutions, including robotic hardware and software
  • Prepare customer sites for deployments of the solution, deploy and test the solution, train the user groups, and support production use of the system until customer acceptance is achieved
  • Map customer sites to create a virtual world for the robots, validate that map and edit as needed
  • Ensure smooth implementation of the robots on-site working with other Field Technicians and Deployment Engineers
  • Respond to service calls and inquiries in a timely manner, adhering to agreed-upon response and resolution times
  • Follow established procedures and protocols for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing robotic equipment
  • Ensure customer satisfaction while onsite implementing the solution and after deployment when troubleshooting and maintenance needs arise
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in order to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
