At wheel.me, innovation isn’t just driven by technology. It’s shaped by the people who bring that technology to life. In this edition of Behind the Wheel, we highlight Rasmus Noraas Bendvold, Managing Director, Detroit, whose leadership has been central to our expansion in North America.
Rasmus joined wheel.me as a Finance Manager, focused on structure, analysis, and planning. But his path soon took a bold turn. With a vision for what wheel.me could achieve globally, he relocated to the United States to establish and lead our North American headquarters in Detroit.
“Two years ago, we were starting from scratch. Today, we’re deploying Genius 2 systems at some of the most advanced manufacturing plants in the world,” he says. “It’s been a journey of growth, not just for the business, but for me personally.”
Rasmus’s role blends strategy with hands-on leadership. He’s been deeply involved in everything from business development to technical deployment, ensuring that our autonomous robotics integrate seamlessly into complex industrial environments.
“Every successful deployment is a testament to the incredible teamwork at wheel.me, and I’m excited to keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in robotics,” Rasmus says.
For Rasmus, the real value of automation is measured not in specs or speeds, but in outcomes. “We’re not just automating for the sake of it. We’re solving real problems, making work more efficient, and helping people focus on tasks that matter. That’s where the impact is, and that’s what makes the work meaningful.”
Our technology may move on wheels, but it’s powered by people. Stay tuned as we continue sharing stories from the team behind wheel.me’s journey toward smarter, safer, and more accessible automation.
