Behind the Wheel: Martin Halseide

February 13, 2025

At wheel.me, innovation isn’t just about the tech. It’s about the people behind it. In this series, we spotlight the minds helping shape the future of autonomous mobility. Meet Martin Amaral Halseide, Software QA Engineer. Over the past three years, Martin has helped transform our approach to quality assurance, ensuring every robot we deliver is reliable, robust, and ready for the real world.

From One Robot to Global Fleets

"When I joined wheel.me, we had a single robot. Engineers had to watch it closely to make sure it worked during demos," Martin shares. "Now we have hundreds running autonomously in factories across the globe. That shift from hands-on monitoring to real autonomy has been incredible."

Laying the Groundwork for Quality

Martin leads QA efforts across teams, building processes that scale with us.

"We started with basic trial and error. Today, we’ve built structured, automated testing from the ground up. That means every robot goes out the door meeting the highest standards."

Always Room to Improve

What drives Martin most? Seeing our robots in action at customer sites.

"It never gets old watching them move and adapt in real environments. But every time I visit, I come back with a list of ideas. There’s always something we can make better."

Martin’s journey reflects what drives everyone at wheel.me: a deep curiosity, pride in the details, and a drive to constantly improve.
