wheel.me™ and Faurecia enter into framework agreement for deployment of smart wheels

wheel.me™ and Faurecia announce that they have entered into a framework agreement to deploy wheel.me Genius, the world’s first autonomous wheel, in Faurecia`s Simpsonville manufacturing facility located in Kentucky in the United States.

With 266 industrial sites, 39 R&D centers and 114,000 employees in 35 countries, Faurecia is a top ten global automotive supplier. Faurecia’s mission is to develop technologies for Sustainable Mobility and to create personalized experiences for the Cockpit of the Future.

"We have big plans for the wheel.me technology to provide more efficiency and flexibility”, said Matt Myrand, Manufacturing Innovation Director at Faurecia. “We have been working with wheel.me™ for some time and we are now ready to deploy the technology in our industrial sites.”

The companies have been piloting the solution together for almost two years before entering into the agreement. After a successful first installation in Simpsonville, several Faurecia manufacturing facilities in North America are ready to deploy the technology.
